School Daze and Autism

This weekend has been a slight respite in an otherwise gloomy week and even more looming challenges ahead in this case, with the school.
Our son,  as I have mentioned before,  has autism spectrum disorder and is developmentally delayed.  He is also particularly sensitive to big crowds and big confusing spaces and high school has both of these things.   Its no wonder that the school called my wife at 7:45 to pick him up because he was in full blown panic mode, punching and kicking at the principal.   The resource officer threatened him with juvenal hall as well.
We have had several ieps with everyone of his schools and the lackluster response has been the same.    They follow their own procedures and policies and totally ignore the cause of the issue.
J is not violent at home and he is usually happy flappy when he is home.   If we take him to a school,  he goes into panic mode a majority of the time.
What really bothers us,  is that the school doesn't seem to get that even though they have seen this behavior over and over again.
When he first went to Middle School,  he was afraid to get out of the car and the teachers,  principals and the resource officer had to get him out.
They thought to themselves, "let's try using a bus" so they did that and sometimes, it worked, but many times,  he was afraid to get on the bus.
The main conclusion,  I can draw from this is that he is still very much afraid of the environment itself because he can't cope with what his senses are telling him.
So Monday will come soon and there's no plan in place (or there isn't a good one) for J.
We can but pray right now.
